Crop Magazine is a publication that reflects on visual culture through the lens of philosophy, religion, and history to shed light on the modernist creative era.
The logotype was designed to visualise the cropping of a larger picture, a way for photographers to chose a focus and what to emphasize.
The magazine, based on disperse concepts by thinkers and philosophers needed a layout that would allow many thoughts to be visible at once. A stream of conscience in a way. To achieve this a meticulous grid was designed that could retain structure in a somewhat promiscuous set of ideas.
